1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy (the “AUP”) forms an integral part of the ToU. It aims at protecting BRIDGERS, its Users, their correspondents and the email ecosystem at large against abusive or unlawful use of the Maylee Service.
2. Strictly prohibited uses
The User shall not, directly or indirectly:
2.1. Spam and unsolicited emails
-
Send prospecting emails to recipients who have not validly consented, in breach of GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, LCEN, CAN-SPAM Act or any other applicable regulation.
-
Buy, rent, exchange or use address lists obtained without verified consent.
-
Send mass emails through Maylee (the Service is not a bulk-mail tool).
-
Use misleading headers, falsify sender, subject or signature.
-
Omit mandatory commercial-email mentions (unsubscribe link, sender identification).
2.2. Unlawful or harmful content
-
Phishing, social engineering, identity theft.
-
Distribution of malware (viruses, ransomware, trojans, malicious scripts).
-
Child-sexual-abuse, terror, racist, xenophobic, denialist, hate, discrimination or violence-inciting content.
-
Harm to minors.
-
Defamation, harassment, threats, privacy violations.
-
IP infringement (counterfeiting, unauthorised distribution).
-
Trade-secret and professional-secrecy violations.
2.3. Security and technical abuse
-
Penetration attempts, takeover, denial-of-service, or any unauthorised security testing on Maylee or third parties via Maylee.
-
Circumvention of technical limits, quotas or protections.
-
Unauthorised bots, scripts, scrapers or automated tools.
-
Reverse engineering, model extraction, attempts to clone the Service.
2.4. Forbidden commercial uses
-
Use Maylee to provide or feed a competing product.
-
Resell, share or sublicense access to unauthorised third parties.
-
Use Maylee for fraudulent activities (scams, money laundering, false promises).
3. Quantitative limits and anti-abuse
Maylee may impose reasonable limits (email volumes, AI requests, connected accounts, attachment sizes, etc.) to preserve Service quality, prevent abuse and comply with third-party providers' policies. Any obvious circumvention attempt (multiple accounts to stack free quotas, fragmentation, etc.) constitutes a breach of this AUP.
4. Deliverability and email ecosystem
The User's sending practices directly impact the deliverability of their messages (and indirectly the Service's reputation). The User commits to follow best practices (correctly configured SPF, DKIM, DMARC on their domains, careful opt-out management, list hygiene, etc.). Maylee is not responsible for spam classifications, blocks or blacklists affecting the User.
5. Reporting abuse
Any person (User or third-party recipient) may report abusive or unlawful use to contact@maylee.app with “Abuse Report” in the subject and the following: relevant email address, full headers of the disputed message, description of the facts, identity of the reporter. BRIDGERS reviews reports in good faith and may suspend the reported account without notice during the investigation.
6. Unlawful-content notice (LCEN / DSA)
In accordance with LCEN and Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (“DSA”) where applicable, BRIDGERS sets up a notice procedure for manifestly unlawful content. Notices must be sent to contact@maylee.app and include: (i) notifier identification, (ii) precise description of the content and its location, (iii) reasons why it is unlawful, (iv) good-faith statement. Abusive or bad-faith notices may engage the notifier's civil and criminal liability.
7. Sanctions
In case of breach, BRIDGERS may, without notice or compensation:
-
warn the User,
-
limit or suspend any features,
-
suspend or terminate the account,
-
report the facts to competent authorities where required or permitted by law,
-
bring any action to recover damages suffered by BRIDGERS or third parties.
8. Cooperation with authorities
BRIDGERS complies with valid judicial and administrative requests. Data may be transmitted to competent authorities under the conditions provided by law.
9. Changes
This AUP may be amended at any time. Material changes are notified at least 30 days in advance.
